You didn’t land here by accident.
You’re here because something tore your world apart, and you needed a place where that truth could exist out loud.
Maybe it was a loss.
Maybe it’s someone you love who’s grieving.
Maybe you’re a therapist, a friend, a parent, trying to understand what this ache really is.
Or maybe the silence around death just got too loud.
Whatever brought you here,
you needed a space where things don’t have to be okay to be real.
This is that space.
This is where I lay it down - the rage, the ache, the softness, the survival.
This is where I tell the truth about loss in a world that keeps asking you to move on.

What’s New in This Space
Small updates, big feelings - the latest from This is Grief.
There’s a steadiness to this week. Not lighter, exactly. Just clearer. The kind of week where things quietly line up behind the scenes.
• The Year After Kahlia - Audiobook Update
A big, behind-the-scenes milestone this week. The audiobook is now listed with Barnes & Noble and Chirp, ahead of its release on 21 February 2026. It’s strange seeing her story take shape in another form, one that will be heard rather than read. Slow steps, but meaningful ones.
• New on the Blog
“It’s Mid-December. Here’s How to Support Someone Who’s Grieving (Without Making It Harder)”
A practical, honest piece for friends, families, and workplaces navigating this season. No fixing. No forced cheer. Just small ways to show up without adding pressure, especially when grief is already loud.
• Write & Reflect - Taking Shape
This week I’ve been deep in the Write and Reflect space on the site, reshaping it into something more intentional. Fewer instructions. More permission. Spaces to write privately, places to witness each other’s words, and ways to begin without knowing how. It’s becoming what I hoped it could be.
• This Is Grief Day - Still Becoming
No announcements, no fanfare. Just ongoing conversations, ideas unfolding, and a growing sense of what this day could hold. Still listening … still letting it form.
Some weeks are about visibility, others are about foundations. This one feels like the latter, and that matters.
Thank you for walking beside me through all the chapters - the ones already written, and the ones still finding their voice.
