A Box of Memory (Creating a Grief Box)

When to Use It: When you need to feel close, or when memories start slipping through the cracks.
Why It Matters: A grief box is a tangible container of love, presence, and story. It gives memory a home.

Steps:

  1. Find or decorate a small box or container.

  2. Fill it slowly, letters, photos, fabric, scents, jewellery.

  3. Add handwritten notes or a journal entry.

  4. Visit it when needed. Let it be both comfort and cry-space.

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Include a “permission slip” to feel what you feel.

  • Let others contribute one memory or item.

  • Create one for each season.

Blessing:
“This box holds more than items. It holds echoes of laughter, fingerprints of love, and the weight of someone unforgettable.”
