Grief Walk (A Moving Meditation)

When to Use It: When your mind won’t stop spinning, when you feel trapped inside, or need a sense of movement through grief.
Why It Matters: Movement can shift stuck emotion. Nature has a way of holding sorrow without rushing it.

Steps:

  1. Go for a walk somewhere quiet; a park, beach, or trail.

  2. Walk slowly. Feel each footstep. Notice your breath.

  3. Let your thoughts come and go. Don’t force them.

  4. Pick up a stone, leaf, or shell to carry with you.

  5. Say something aloud as you walk, even just their name.

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Dedicate the walk to them.

  • Create a ritual trail you return to often.

  • Leave a flower or token somewhere sacred.

Blessing:
“With each step, I carry you. With each breath, I remember. I move forward — not away from you, but with you.”
