Grief Walk (A Moving Meditation)
When to Use It: When your mind won’t stop spinning, when you feel trapped inside, or need a sense of movement through grief.
Why It Matters: Movement can shift stuck emotion. Nature has a way of holding sorrow without rushing it.
Steps:
Go for a walk somewhere quiet; a park, beach, or trail.
Walk slowly. Feel each footstep. Notice your breath.
Let your thoughts come and go. Don’t force them.
Pick up a stone, leaf, or shell to carry with you.
Say something aloud as you walk, even just their name.
Optional Add-Ons:
Dedicate the walk to them.
Create a ritual trail you return to often.
Leave a flower or token somewhere sacred.
Blessing:
“With each step, I carry you. With each breath, I remember. I move forward — not away from you, but with you.”
