The Permission Slip (A Living Ritual)

When to Use It: Anytime you need to give yourself grace. Anytime you forget that you’re allowed to grieve your way.
Why It Matters: Grief is so often judged. This ritual is an act of self-trust, self-compassion, and sovereignty.

Steps:

  1. Take a small piece of paper. Write: “Today, I give myself permission to…”

  2. Fill it in. Be honest.

  3. Fold it. Place it somewhere sacred; your journal, a pocket, your altar.

  4. Revisit it throughout the day.

  5. Create a collection of these slips over time.

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Use different colours for different moods.

  • Decorate a jar or box to keep them in.

  • Create digital ones on your website or phone.

Blessing:
“I do not need to be fixed. I am allowed to feel. I am allowed to rest. I am allowed to be exactly as I am, here, now, today.”
