Some things are easier to carry when someone else understands.
Grief can be extraordinarily lonely.
Not necessarily because there aren't people around you, but because so much of what happens after someone dies can be difficult to explain to someone who hasn't lived it.
The strange reminders.
The person you used to be.
The ordinary things you miss.
The anger, fear, love, guilt and laughter that can somehow exist alongside each other.
The Grief Writing Circle is a small, facilitated online space where we make room for all of it.
Each week, we gather around a different part of grief. We talk. We listen. We write. Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes something someone says makes half the room nod because they thought they were the only one.
And slowly, something shifts.
Not the grief.
The aloneness of it.
You don't need to be a writer. You don't have to read what you write. You don't even have to turn your camera on.
You are welcome to talk, write, listen, or simply be there.
There is nothing you need to perform here.
What happens inside the Circle
Each week follows a gentle rhythm. We arrive together, explore a theme, spend some time writing, and make space to share and connect, always in whatever way feels right for you.

CONNECT
Sharing is always optional. Listening is enough.
Cameras are optional too. This is a space for witnessing, not fixing, with no judgement, no advice-giving and no pressure to be okay.
The same people. Ten weeks. Something different happens.
The Grief Writing Circle is a closed 10-week cohort, which means the same small group comes together each week.
And that matters.
Because over time, names become familiar. Stories don't need to be explained from the beginning. People remember who you're grieving. They remember what you shared last week.
Trust has time to grow. Conversations deepen. And slowly, a group of strangers can become a place where you don't have to translate your grief quite so much.
You don't have to become friends. You don't have to share more than you want to. There is no expectation that everyone will connect in the same way.
But you will be known here.
And for people who spend so much of their everyday lives feeling as though nobody quite understands, that can matter enormously.
You join once, and your place is yours for the full 10 weeks.
What we’ll explore together
Across the ten weeks, we make room for the parts of grief that don’t always have somewhere else to go.
The ordinary things that suddenly carry enormous meaning.
The person you were before.
The ways grief has changed you.
Anger, guilt, love, memory, identity, loneliness, connection, and the strange experience of learning to live in a world that is both familiar and completely different.
Some weeks we might begin with a memory.
Another week, a sentence.
A song. A photograph. A question you haven’t known how to answer.
The writing invitations are simply a way in.
There is never a right thing to write, and you will never be asked to make your grief neat.
We follow what is true.
And because the same people return each week, the conversations can deepen over time. You begin to know one another’s people, stories and lives, without having to explain everything from the beginning.
Choose what feels right for you
Every participant receives exactly the same 10-week experience.
Choose the option that best fits your circumstances.
Same Circle. Same experience. You simply choose what feels right for you.
The next Circle
The next 10-week Grief Writing Circle is coming soon.
The Circle is deliberately kept small, with a maximum of 12 people, so there is space for people to get to know one another and for trust to grow over the ten weeks.
