The Grief Writing Circle: A 10-week guided writing and connection group

from $30.00

Next cohort begins Tuesday 1st September 7.30pm NZT
Small group. Limited places available.

Grief can be incredibly lonely.

Most people become experts at carrying things they never wanted to carry.

The Grief Writing Circle is a small 10-week group where you don't have to explain why you're still grieving, why certain dates hurt, or why some days feel impossible.

Through gentle writing prompts, reflection, and honest conversation, you'll be alongside people who understand.

Not because they've read about grief.

Because they're living it too.

You don't need to be a writer.

You just need somewhere to bring your grief.

What makes this circle different?

This isn't a drop-in group.

The same small group journeys together across 10 weeks, allowing trust, connection, and community to grow naturally over time.

Something beautiful often happens when people are given permission to show up exactly as they are.

The conversations deepen.

The walls come down.

People realise they are not as alone as they thought.

Many participants choose to stay connected after the circle ends, creating friendships and support that continue beyond the group itself.

Over 10 weeks we'll explore themes such as:

• The person I was before
• The things I miss
• Anger and frustration
• Love and connection
• Identity and change
• The stories we carry
• What grief has taught us
• Learning how to carry what cannot be fixed

Each week includes:

• A gentle introduction and check-in
• A guided writing prompt
• Quiet writing time
• Optional sharing and discussion
• Space for reflection and connection

No writing experience is needed.

There is no pressure to share.

You are welcome exactly as you are.

What previous participants have said

"I slept so well after that session, like a weight had been lifted."

"To have others who get it, witness it in safety and understanding was exactly what my weary soul needed."

"It felt like everyone connected in such a beautiful way."

Choose what feels right for you

All participants receive exactly the same experience.

A note from Kirsten

I created this circle because grief can be incredibly isolating.

Writing has been one of the ways I have survived my own loss, but the greatest surprise has been discovering the power of sitting beside other people who truly understand.

You don't need the right words.

You don't need to be "doing grief well."

You don't need to be fixed.

You simply need a place where your grief is welcome.

I'd love to have you join us.
